Congrats, BGS! Make-Ahead Pasta from The Kitchy Kitchen
Burwell General Store has a whole new look and feel! I’ve relaunched the site, incorporating more adventure and fun into the food! Television host, food blogger, colleague and all-around lovely lady Claire Thomas of The Kitchy Kitchen and Food For Thought With Claire Thomas stopped by to say hi with a delicious treat for us:
Welcome back, Burwell General Store! I’m so excited about the relaunch, the fabulous new look, and the blend of adventure, travel, and food. Three of my favorite things!
With an open road and adventure in mind this summer, how can I not think about picnics? Whether it’s on a desolate beach, at the end of a hike, or on the side of the road on my journey to somewhere else, picnics celebrate the spontaneous afternoon, a stroke of good luck with the weather, or an unfortunate flat tire. Basically, picnics are an opportunity to enjoy good food outdoors, and I’m all for it.
When planning a picnic, you want food that will travel well, meaning, it’s great at room temperature, not messy, and delicious. This penne pasta salad with olive tapenade and herbs is fresh and so simple to put together.
